I look forward to seeing you on Monday at the Parent/Child Orientation that begins at 9:30 am. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to visit their classroom, classmates and get to know me a bit better.
For all of the students, who I was lucky enough to teach last year or during previous years, this is a new experience for them as well. We are back "home" and this will be an adjustment in our updated building not to mention a new classroom and a new role at the coop as the "big kids" :)
During the first few weeks of school, we will focus mostly on learning our new routine, beginning new friendships and enjoying old ones, as well as establishing the basic daily flow as we get used to our days together. We will practice to acquire the skills that allow the children to independently work at the various learning centers.
Most importantly, I want your children to have a fabulous and fun first week of school and look forward to our many adventures ahead!
Just a few reminders:
Please be sure to completed a NEW emergency contact card at Parent/Child Orientation
Please be sure to leave your child an ENTIRE change of clothing for their cubby
Our Welcome potluck is on Friday, August 31st at 12pm. Please be prepared to pick up your child (if he or she attends that day) at 12 noon to accompany them to the potluck. If your child does not normally attend on Fridays, we welcome you and your family to join us as well at noon.
