Hi Wildflower Families --

I can hardly believe that it is the last full week of school, but it is! As you know, graduation for all our big Wildflowers is next Tuesday, June 7 at 12:00. It will be followed by a potluck party, highlighted by great food and mixed emotions......

This week, it’s Kids’ Choice. The children will get to do their favorite art activities, songs, and games. Water is always a favorite and it’s supposed to be warm this week, and so -- don’t tell your children -- but I’m going to see if I can hook up a sprinkler and a wading pool. If can do it, I’ll let you know so that you can send in swim suits. Regardless, remember to apply sunscreen because we’ll certainly spend a lot of time outside. We’ll also do spin art, which is tremendously popular, and we’ll recall some of the fun American Sign Language that we’ve learned over the schoolyear.

Best of all, on Thursday and Friday, we will have our annual lemonade stand at the playground. The kids will make lemonade and cookies for this event, and we would love it if you would also contribute some baked treats. The children will make the signage and display it, and man the stand. Every item will cost $1.00 and so don’t forget your cash on Thursday and/or Friday!!! This is a fundraiser that the children REALLY enjoy, and can contribute to significantly. The school will use the money for something fun for the renovated school (last year, it was a light table.)

Lastly, I want you to know that I have truly enjoyed working with you and with your terrific children. Every day, they show me why children are so important in our lives. They make me laugh, they astound me with their insight, and they share the joy of discovery and play. Know that they are wonderful and amazing. Also, thank you for all that you have contributed to the classroom and to the school as a whole. As always.....

Thank you for sharing your children with me,

Miranda
