Hi Wildflower Families --

April in North Carolina is so pretty!!! Before we know it, it will be in the 90s and so we will try to maximize this perfect weather. We will try to play outside a lot and picnic whenever possible. Please make sure your child has a light jacket and sunscreen.

Last week we talked all about babies in our families -- and I was thoroughly educated by my Wildflower friends as to the care and keeping of babies. They are experts!!! Thank you for sending in the adorable baby pictures. We had fun guessing who they were. We made sock babies (huge hit!), washed babies in the sensory table, put baby chicks in their nests, and made a picture of hatching eggs. We reviewed the signs for “baby,” :”mother,” “father,” “brother,” and “sister” and reviewed the signs for “brother” and “sister.’ Miss Liz came in and read Are You My Mother? in Spanish with us and Miss Liz did Spanish with us -- so we really packed a lot in!

Our Springtime unit continues this week as we talk about “going green.” Earth Day is Friday this year, and we’ll do lots of recycled art projects, including lint critters, fence weaving, and egg carton caterpillars. According, if you have any of the following items in your recycling bin, would you please send them in to me?

  • plastic water bottles
  • old sheets or tablecloths
  • dryer lint
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your children with me,
