Hi Wildflower Families --

I hope everyone has had a wonderful spring break! I had a fun (but smelly) trip to the beach with my teenage boys and their buddies, and an exhausting day chasing them around Busch Gardens. The spring weather is truly lovely....

Don’t forget -- tomorrow is a teacher workday, and we have our work cut out for us over at the old school.

Appropriately, our next springtime topic is babies: baby animals and baby people. We’ll discuss the special qualities and needs of babies. We’ll make sock babies, experiment with diapers, make mouse baby cradles, have an egg hunt, and wash and care for our baby dolls. We’ll also learn the signs for “cute,” and “baby,” and we’ll review the signs for other family members.

In other news, watch for Kindergarten Night at your child’s elementary school. Typically, this is an informal information session for parents that have questions or concerns about how best to prepare their children for kindergarten. Also, the Co-Op Spring Consignment Sale is next Saturday, April 14. It’s a great opportunity to pass along outgrown toys and clothes and acquire great new outfits and playthings for the summer -- cheap! See Susan’s brochure for information about how to label items and drop them off.

I look forward to seeing the little ones on Tuesday!

Thank you for sharing your children with me,
