Hi Wildflower Families --

I hope everyone had nice weekend despite the rainy weather. A good weekend to watch UNC stomp on Duke (sorry, Duke fans....)!!!

Our theme last week was music and movement. We played with twirlers made bean shakers, kazoos, and spin art. We started a new sign in procedure and that seems to be going very well. This is a prodigal bunch, I tell you! We read Piano, Piano and Noise! We also talked about the letter ‘Xx.’ And we learned ASL for “music” and “dance,” and reviewed the signs for “run,” “walk, “ and “jump.” We also started learning the letters of the alphabet in sign language.

Continuing with our random March Madness themes, we’ll talk about colors this week. If possible, please try to dress your child in the color of the day.

Monday: Red
Tuesday: Blue
Wednesday: Yellow
Thursday: Green
Friday: Favorite Color

We’ll smash Fruitloops, make a color collage, do sponge painting,. Our letter will be ‘Yy” -- yippeeee! We’ll also learn the ASL signs for the colors.

Also, a reminder that the Silent Auction is this Thursday, the 8th at Top of the Hill!.!!! This is always a fun evening, and I’m really looking forward to it!

As always, thank you for sharing your children with me --

Miranda
