Hi Wildflower Families,

Happy Mother’s Day!!! I hope everyone had a terrific weekend! I enjoyed talking to many of you about your terrific children. Thank you for showing such interest and care in your child’s preschool experience.

Last week, we spent a lot of time outside first thing in the morning and we also talked about some popular children’s authors: Dr. Suess, Eric Carle, Leo Leonni, and Mo Willems. We made our own Leo Leoni pictures and son Very Hungry Caterpillars. The children also lhad fun making the earrings. We learned some interesting things about coyotes (this week’s featured animal) and some signs for “book,” “read,” “write,” and “draw.”

This week, our theme is Crazy Concoctions. Be forewarned that your child may bring home a previously mentioned item -- possibly slime, some filthy coffee, or a bottle of mystery...... We’ll be mad scientists, for sure, creating volcanoes and other impossible solutions. Please note that all ingredients will be non-toxic and washable.

Lastly, please watch for a sign-up sheet for our annual Spring Carnival. This day is a blast for the children, and they love it when their parents are there to enjoy the excitement with them. We need all kinds of help that day!

Thank you for sharing your children with me,
