Good Evening,

The plans for this week are included below.

Please note that on Thursday and Friday of this week; I will out and their will be substitutes in for me. We are lucky enough to have Emme's Mom Bonnie on Thursday and Roan's Mom, Marisol, on Friday! The kids are so well adjusted at this point in the year and it just makes it all that much easier that the subs are Rainbow Moms.

I will miss my friends on Thursday and Friday but I'll be chaperoning an overnight field trip to DC with my older son, Bailey. I hope to return with my sanity intact:) Please prepare your little ones regarding my absense.

On another note, thanks to all of you who were able to attend the membership meeting last week. Although the school is going through many changes; the staff and board members are commited to the success of this school and what's best not only for our current families but for those who will come upon us in the future.

Have a wonderful night,

Theme: Healthy Bodies

This week we’ll learn about how to maintain a healthy body by eating healthy foods, exercising and getting enough sleep. We’ll discuss and compare the numbers of our favorite fruits. The Rainbows will enjoy several opportunities to work with health foods and enjoy them as well as crafts and definitely some physical activity! We’ll explore just how fun exercise can be and differentiate between healthy foods that we eat often versus special treats that we indulge in occasionallyJ

  • Pizza collage
  • We’ll make our own Olympic torches and medals; run a few relays and racesJ
  • Healthy Meal Collage and we’ll make fruit smoothies
  • Ice cream cone creation and we’ll make our own homemade ice cream
  • Jumping, tumbling, crab walking, a few new yoga poses and t-ball.
