Rainbow Parents,

We've had another great week in our new classroom and the kids have continued to have fun, become more adjusted just to where things are located and more importantly a few new friendships have popped up:)

The 40th Anniversary Silent Auction for the coop is just around the corner; please remember to submit your payment and raffle ticket stubs prior to the event itself, if possible. And I look forward to seeing many of you at Top of the Hill on Thursday, March 8th.

The theme, this week, is music and movement and will be tons of fun for the kids, please see the plans below.

Music and Movement

This week we’ll be making our own “music” and participating in various creative movement activities. The Rainbows will review various yoga poses we’ve learned earlier in the year and attempt several new poses as well.

We’ll also play various instruments at school while trying to achieve a specific rhythm and tempo together as a group. There will homemade instruments to practice with at home as well!

  • Glittery shakers
  • We’ll make homemade ice cream using our body movements
  • Wind chimes
  • Several child friendly yoga poses
  • We’ll work on our silent auction class projects
  • Ribbon twirlers: These are fun to use in any creative movement activity.

Additional Info/Dates to Remember:
Thursday, March 8th: 14th Annual Silent Auction: This is historically the biggest fundraiser of the entire school year. Please plan to attend as it’s a lot of fun to socialize with other families and staff members. Most importantly you’ll be contributing to the wonderful educational opportunities we afford our children at the coop.
