It was nice to see most of my Rainbow friends and families this evening in our new classroom!
It's going to be an exciting adventure and I'm expecting the children will adjust smoothly but of course there may be a bump or two in the road and I'm happy to give lots of hugs and positive reassurance:)
Most importantly this week, we'll focus on becoming acclimated to our new surroundings but we'll loosely follow a lesson plan focussed on Jungle Animals as well. Our direction will follow what they children seem to be needing at the time however we will follow our daily routine as usual.
Please notice that your child will bring all of their belongings to the classroom each day. Coats can be hung in the classroom, lunchboxes on the counter, cubbies for hats/mittens etc, snacks in our snack bin and we of course still have our sharing basket:) I'll be happy to remind or show you where each area is located.
An important change regarding snack is that we will no longer be serving water in cups at snack time. We do not have access to a full kitchen and therefore a dishwasher. Please simply pack water/juice in your child's lunch box and we'll use that at snack as well as lunch. Of course, I can refill the container as needed.
Please see our plans for this week below and thank you for your continued support!
This week we’ll be exploring the jungle, several different animals that live there and their various habitats. We’ll look at books and pictures that have real life images of the jungle and I’ll encourage the children to talk about what they see.
Additional Info/Dates to Remember:
