What is the Coop Catalogue?
The Coop Catalogue contains ads from businesses that are either owned by members of the Children’s Cooperative Playschool or somehow affiliated with the school. In exchange for a free ad, participating businesses agree to make a donation to our school whenever they get a sale as a result of their listing.

How do I use the Catalogue?
It’s so simple. Anytime you buy a product/service from any of the businesses in the catalogue simply let them know you heard about them through the Coop Catalogue. The participating business will then make a donation to the school.

Why should I support the Coop Catalogue?
The catalogue helps the school in a number of ways:

• It provides the school with an ongoing stream of donations. As a cooperative, the school relies on parent labor and community support to help keep tuition affordable and serve families of different economic status. Our fundraising also supports our scholarship program.
• Many members of the Coop own their own businesses. It financially benefits these members as well as their friends and family who own a business (or work for a business that would like to advertise) by providing risk-fee advertising (meaning no upfront costs).
• It helps us foster a cooperative spirit within the school by giving us a way to support each other’s businesses (which also, in turn, supports the school).

Should I advertise my business in the catalogue?
If you can commit to tracking referrals and donating accordingly, then yes! This first edition of the catalogue is a modest start to what we hope will be an ongoing – and very beneficial – program for the school (and all participants!).

The catalogue offers advertisers a number of benefits:

• It is risk-free advertising. There is no upfront cost. We only ask for a donation if you make a sale as a result of your ad.
• It is great public relations. By participating in this catalogue, you are positioning yourself as a business that supports early education initiatives.
• It supports a great cause. The Children's Cooperative Playschool, a not-for-profit, is a small preschool with a home-like atmosphere and a low child-to-teacher ratio (more about the school on the back of the catalogue).
