Field Trip Update 3

posted Aug 28, 2012, 7:24 PM by Coop Webperson
Hi Families,

I apologize for blowing up your Inboxes with emails, but I wanted to clarify a few things.

This whole time I thought the train ticket was $8/each and the discounted admission price was $10. Apparently it's the other way around. The train ticket is $10/each (ages 3+) and the admission price is $8. For those of you who haven't gone to the museum website to read more about the event, the train ticket includes, train ride to the pumpkin patch, a pumpkin for each ticket, face painting, decorating a bag, and a snack. The normal cost for a train ticket on any other museum day is still $3, so asking for $10 hopefully doesn't sound too outrageous. If your child is 2 or younger and you still want to participate, you just have to purchase a ticket for yourself. Again, I apologize for the confusion.

If you look on the bulletin board in the front room of the school you will see a Field Trip Sign up Sheet. Please fill out your name and number of tickets you need. For those of you who aren't able to give me money on Friday at the potluck, please leave a check in my son's folder (Dag Heintzman, Wildflower). For everyone else, you can wait to give me money on Friday.

The field trip will be on October 19 at 10:30am at the Life and Science Museum in Durham. Considering how busy the day will be and the amount of people, we will meet in front of the museum around 10am and walk into groups according to membership. I am hoping we will have enough members to get most, if not all non members in for free. When the time gets closer, we will work out the details.

Thanks again everyone and I hope you and your little ones have a great first day back in school!

~Leslie
